[January 31st 2000] Siemens and Phone.com have announced that Hong Kong's Mobile Operator Hutchison Telecommunications (Hong Kong) Limited has selected Siemens Information and Communication Networks Group to implement the WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) platform for innovative wireless Internet based services. Under the terms of the agreement, Siemens has provided Hutchison Telecom a complete WAP solution, including the Phone.com UP.Link server suite, which has allowed Hutchison Telecom to provide innovative wireless Internet services to its mobile customers.
